<image:caption>Explorer Camp is a full-day outdoor day camp for kids ages 6-10 and is based at Great River in Mosier, Oregon. Each week, campers enjoy a fully immersive week in the forest while they play in our Tree Park, create in our Forest Art Studio, and build skills at our archery range. In addition, each session, children will play nature-based group games while we cultivate a sense of curiosity and wonder in our youngest campers and contribute to our community by participating in a stewardship project. Our days at camp are created with children’s unique sense of wonder in mind. Each day follows a theme for the week and includes time to explore, drop into creative deep play, move bodies, and quiet time to rest, read stories, and create art.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Here at Let’s Get Out we foster a love of the outdoors through adventuring, exploration and connecting with each other and the natural world. We inspire outdoor skills and habits that encourage life-long participation, sense of wonder, fun, and connection for all people. Through our camps, books, and projects; we aim to inspire people to get outside and thrive together, regardless of their race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. It turns out, we need each other. We need to unplug, stop, and breathe deeply together, tap into what makes us and our loved ones feel alive, and take moments to hold hands and wonder at a caterpillar chewing the margin of a leaf. Our children, our communities, our own survival, and our blue-swirly globe depend on it.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Adventure Camp What does it take to lead? This summer we are honing in on the skills that help our campers become leaders in their community. In addition to the adventure sports we focus on, we will teach, encourage, and support our campers as they learn and practice leadership skills they can take into other parts of their lives. We utilize adventure sports to catalyze personal growth and social and emotional learning. Each day, we travel to a new spot in the Gorge, where we experience rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, exploring swimming holes, shelter building, orienteering, wilderness awareness skills and games, team building, and service project activities. Leave No Trace Ethics are taught throughout the week. The week also includes a stewardship project with a local agency or non-profit. Stewardship projects help campers understand the larger picture of land management, volunteerism, natural resources, and giving back. Activities may vary due to weather conditions and staffing. Most equipment and transportation are provided. Children need to bring their bikes and helmets on mountain bike day. If a child doesn’t have a bike, please contact one of our local bike shops for a rental. Our camper-to-guide ratio is 6:1 for these camps. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Pick up and drop off is at Jackson Park in Hood River. Session 1: Aug. 3-7 Adventure Camp ages 8-10 co-ed $490 Session 2: Aug. 10-14 Adventure Camp ages 11-14 co-ed $490 We have a limited number of need-based scholarship spots available. <image:title>After School Outside - Why should I sign my child up for After School Outside?</image:title>
<image:caption>Research shows that kids benefit from outdoor play with their peers. We know parents are busy and can’t always get their kids out. We know that screens and video games have a powerful draw on our young people. We want to help. After School Outside is an antidote for all of these challenges. Here at Let’s Get Out, we want to make getting our children outside as easy as possible. For spring of 2026, we are offering After School Outside on Thursdays from 2:10-5:00pm. We offer School pick-up at May Street Elementary and Westside. After School Outside is for students in 2nd to 5th grade. Children will be picked up at school and taken to various natural spots around town. We will develop and hone our Nature Ninja skills as we learn about ourselves and the natural environment while we experiment with the wind, observe insects and animals around us, create creatures from found natural objects, build forts, and play nature-inspired games in the woods. The courses are one day per week and run for 7 weeks. We pick up kids at school at 2:15 pm and drop off at Westside at 5:00 pm. Cost $350 and includes transportation to and from school. Scroll down to register.</image:caption>
